Mistress of the Dark

In the fall of 1981, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark made her television debut as the hostess of low-grade B horror films. Elvira's Movie Macabre and the character of Elvira went from total obscurity to near overnight success.. Who could have imagined the hostess of a local Hollywood Horror movie show would grow to become a household name? Elvira was the first horror host ever to be syndicated nationally and has emerged as one of the most original and outrageous characters in popular culture today.

"And if they ever ask about me, tell them I was more than just a great set of boobs. I was also an incredible pair of legs. And tell them... tell them that I never turned down a friend. I... never turned down a stranger for that matter. And tell them... tell them that when all is said and done, I only ask that people remember me by two simple words.

.... Any two, as long as they're simple."

Disclaimer: This is an Elvira appreciation blog. I am not Elvira or Cassandra Peterson nor do I claim to be. I am also not affiliated with her in any way. Just to make that perfectly clear. I am simply a fan. All gifs are mine unless stated otherwise.
